Displacement of the mass with respect to the equilibrium


A mass of 0.45 kg suspending in equilibrium from the end of a spring is pulled down a further 0.12 m and then released. It carries on oscillating up and down having a frequency of 0.5 Hz. Determine what will be the displacement of the mass with respect to the equilibrium position at the given times after its release:

(a) t = 1.5 second (b) t = 3.0 second (c) t = 6.0 second
