Discussion 1: "Formative Evaluation"
Please respond to ONE of the following:
1. There are eight steps in planning a formative evaluation. Select one step and determine its importance in the planning process for your project. Predict the possible impact if you omit the step. Provide two examples to support your selection.
2. Examine the following types of formative evaluation: connoisseur based, decision oriented, objective based, and public relations inspired. Determine the type of formative evaluation that best fits your project and provide a rationale for your response. If you cannot use one of these types of evaluations, provide a rationale as to why not.
Discussion 2: "Types of Evaluations"
Please respond to ONE of the following:
1. Imagine that you have previously created training for K-12 teachers and post-secondary instructors. Determine a situation where you would use a formative, summative, and confirmative evaluation. Provide examples of what the evaluation might look like based on information from the textbook.
2. A training program within a school or organization usually has clearly de?ned outcomes that the trainees need to accomplish. These outcomes are expected to result in improved job performance. Analyze the following areas of post-training evaluation: appropriateness of the training, competencies of the employees, and bene?ts to the organization. Determine how these areas might apply to your project. Provide examples to justify your response. Note: Please do not identify workplaces or leaders by name.
