Some argue that aquaculture proves that perpetual economic growth is possible, and even if it is not, altering our society from our current economic model may cause significant harm to people. Is there a moral justification to adopt ecological economics knowing that it will have harmful consequences for those who have lives that depend on the current economic model? Why or why not?
