Assignment Task:
The final integrative written case assignment for the course is "Uber: Competing Globally". You are required to answer questions based on the case. It is an integrative case study that involves the application of concepts and principles of international business covered in more than one of the seven modules. This is NOT a group assignment. Please answer each of the following four questions (you should write the question's number and its statement at the beginning of your response to the question in order to clearly identify your response to the question): First, identify all the factors that make one city/country more favorable for a ride-hailing service. Next, for each market discussed in the case, elaborate which of the factors were favorable or unfavorable to Uber. Justify your answer with details from the case. As we read the case we understand that regulations play an important role in shaping the economic environment in different markets. How did Uber do, if anything, to account for these differences across markets during its initial launches? Why? Justify your answer with details from the case. Many (including Uber) believe that it is a tech-company and not a transportation company. Disprove this belief that
