Assignment Task:
For the assessment, my score for Professionalism was 100%, Ethical Decision making was 75% and my overall score was 85%. When it comes to the assessment, I do not agree with it. Child labor laws are an issue that is complex. According to Phys, "The study also found that 41 countries do not protect 14-year-olds from working six or more hours on a school day, and 84 countries do not legally guarantee that 16-year-olds have at least 12 hours off from work in a day." Children at that age should be at school getting an education. Phys also states that, "Close to one-in-three child laborers ages 5 to 14 did not attend school." I do understand that some families may rely on the income of their children in order to survive. It's important that the laws have a balance when it comes to protecting children and labor. In my opinion, children should be getting an education. If the child does have to work, it depends on the age. That age of the child depends on the amount of hours worked in a week.
