Problem:
Well thought out, expressed post. I think, believe your words are powerful; '...given the diversity of political systems, cultural norms, and economic circumstances among countries, it is difficult to put these ideas into practice on a worldwide scale'. When I think about how sensitive (which I believe is healthy) we are to cultural norms today, especially compared to the past, it does make me question if some of them, cultural norms, can actually fit into democratic values. Can this become to look like attempting to fit a round peg into a square whole? If some cultural norms are not truly democratic, does that mean the 'global governance' will need to correct these aspects? Even as I type this, I question how much of this becomes ethnocentric behavior. I can see how this issue could drastically impact the distribution of power globally.
