Problem: The Research Paper draft may be only four or five pages (It's only a draft.) There should be some use of references in the draft, but a Works Cited page does not have to be included. A Works Cited page will be required for the final version. The function of this "draft" is to assess your ability to generate a working draft and to narrow the focus of your topic. Ultimately, the final of the Research Paper will be eight (8) pages and include a Works Cited page. In consideration for the Draft, here are the requirements for the Final Research Paper: Topic: You will pick one of the 'broad' topics listed below. The topic you choose will need to be focused in order to write effectively. Consider current events. Narrowing the scope of the topic by will allow you to better formulate a thesis. This can be done by looking at geography, demographic considerations, time frame, etc. Climate Change Nutrition Immigration References: References are required for this essay. You must have at least six (6) references, three of which must be scholarly books or articles from academic journals. Any particular reference may accessible from the internet, but it must originate from an academic anthology or journal or academic press and be citable as such. Your other references can be websites or additional articles and books. A Works Cited page will accompany the final version. Format: The essay is to be at least 8 pages, following MLA format
