Problem 1: Company XYZ hired you to design their virtual network which has FOUR (4) internal segments to represent four departments: Human Resources (HR),Sales, Inventory, and Information Technology {IT). Each department will be allocated with 15 workstations each. Each workstation will use a dynamic IP address (DHCP) for IP allocations. In addition to this, the IT department will have a development server, an application server and a database server. The network will be protected by a firewall (connected to the cloud virtual router) which will house the DHCP server as well. The company has decided to use CLASS B private IP (172.20.1XX.0/24) for their network (XX is the last two digits of your student ID). Your virtual network design will be used by the company to implement their infrastructure in the cloud virtual network.
a) Briefly discuss your subnetting reason and strategy and list the FOUR (4) subnetted network IP addresses for the four departments.
b) Based on the subnetting in (a).draw a complete virtual network diagram with static IP addresses for the servers and dynamic IP addresses (DHCP) for the workstations using CIDR notations.
