Jessica is a 28-year-old office worker who has been sedentary for the last four years. She has never been a sporty person, except for when she did dancing as a kid, and she claims she hates exercise. Jessica's friends and GP have been constantly telling her has to exercise. Consequently, Jessica joined her local gym because she felt guilty. During her first consultation at the gym, a personal trainer told Jessica she needs to run 5km on the treadmill every day. Jessica went to the gym three times and walked 1km on the treadmill next to people running 10kms, before cancelling her membership. Briefly explain why the actions of the GP, her friends, and particularly the personal trainer did not result in Jessica increasing her physical activity level. Need Online Help?
