In recent years, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) has been blamed for the increased prevalence of overweight and obesity in the U.S. (Bray, Nielsen, & Poplin, 2004). It is present in many foods, including those we would expect to find it in, such as candy, to those unexpected, including salad dressing.

a. The "pro" side will make a case that HFCS has contributed to the increased body weight of Americans.

b. Consider why Americans may or may not choose foods with HFCS, including cost, the effect on nutritional status, and what other nutrients may be provided in foods that typically contain HFCS.

The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
