Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores, Inc. v. EEOC
Two young female cashiers sued Love's Travel Stops due to sex-based abuse by customers. The cashiers were sexually harassed by truck drivers, some of whom were regular customers of Love's. The conduct included unwanted touching and pressing, crude and obscene remarks, sexual innuendos, and demands for personal information. Love's knew about it but their managers claimed that harassment was to be expected because it was a truck stop and nothing could be done about it without it becoming a financial burden due to a loss of customers.
Who do you think won the case? The female cashiers or Love's? Why?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
