Critically evaluate the Tasmanian Visitor Economy Strategy 2015-2020. To what extent has the state achieved the stated goals? The current vision is up for an update soon, discuss whether the plan should be revised lightly (i.e. selling the same products), or be drastically revamped. Explain and argue your case.
For students who are less familiar with Tasmania, you may evaluate a tourism strategy plan of another destination.
Discussion Question 2
Tourism benefits society. But one of the challenges is the uneven distribution of benefits to the community. Using Tasmania (or another destination) as an example, look at how the benefits of the industry are distributed. In what other ways can the local community benefit more from the tourism industry?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
