Production Response
The following are the guidelines for your production critiques.
For each production you will need to discuss one of the following elements in depth. Acting. Directing. Set Design. Lighting. Costume. Hair and Makeup and Sound. Please discuss what you found to be effective and ineffective in regards to telling a story? How did the chosen element influence your reaction to the production? Did it make the story more or less relatable? How? Why? We will assign the element for the production before it opens.
THIS IS NOT A PLOT SUMMARY. We saw the show as well. You can touch on the plot, but we are much more interested in your opinion of the show.
You cannot just refer to someone by their character name or their title (director, designer, etc.).
You are expected to give credit to the actor, director or designer by using their name, which must be spelled how it was spelled in the program. You will LOSE POINTS if you do not do so.
Please be specific and use examples from the production to back your points up. This paper is not for us to tell you that your opinions are correct or incorrect, we want to know you can form an opinion about a piece of theatre and back up what you are feeling with examples and information from the production.
