Discuss unchained prisoner in plato allegory of the cave

Assignment task:

Like the unchained prisoner in Plato's Allegory of the Cave, the character Neo from The Matrix is freed from his chains, and able to see new things he never imagined. The goal is seeking truth, which is "knowledge which we have already shown to be the greatest of all" (Plato, p.13). During The Matrix, we follow Neo's journey of leaving the cave and how he handles new information. Neo has a passion for finding the truth. However, Neo has a difficult time accepting his new reality and letting go of fear and doubt. Leaving the cave means the unchained man can never go back and "unknow" the information he learned. Similarly, Neo cannot climb back up the rabbit hole once he has taken the red pill to unlock the truth about his world. The man in the cave transitions from seeing his reality in two-dimensional shadows to three-dimensional objects in the sunlight. Everything he thought he understood about the world has changed. In the same respect, Neo's entire world view has also changed. Neo learns that everything he has ever experienced never really happened but was a computer program occupying his mind while he was lying in a pod
