To ensure that consumers remember information about their brands and offerings, marketers use various techniques that enhance memory. This can be done at any stage of the process, that is at the encoding stage, the storage stage or retrieval stage.
1) For each of the two advertisements below, discuss two relevant memory enhancing techniques that have been employed by the brand. Do you think the techniques applied are effective? Explain why.
2) For each of the two advertisements, discuss how the marketers of the brands are encouraging consumers to process information in their working memory.
