• What were the facts of the conflict?
• Based on the facts, assess which strategy you took when approaching the conflict?

Situation, two co-workers are working in cubicles next to each other. Helen has all her books on the ground and their workspace is interrupting the other co-worker, Jake. Jake asked Helen if she could clean up and Helen replies back that she doesn't have the time to do so.
In the situation, what conflict styles (contending, yielding, inaction, problem-solving, or compromising) did each employee present? If you were Chris, how would you proceed?

The philosophers (Plato and Socrates) studied in this module set the foundations for political thought. As you read the text and lecture material consider their views on the proper role of the state.
Discuss their views on the proper roles of the state and how they might compare to the US state (government) today. Do you think the philosophers would agree with the current structure of the American government? Why or why not?
