Problem
The Civil War had a big affect on the country in general. In regards to the homefront, this was extremely impacted. Many individuals watched their loved ones die in front of them, women became the "nurses" of the war to car for the wounded mean, sickness spread through the country, and children had to watch their older brothers and fathers fight a war and possibly die. This war is a very notorious war in American history. After the war the North was able to regain a since of normalcy as they began to rebuild, but the south struggled and were being deprived of the things needed to survive. Eventually the Union soldiers ended up destroying railways and telegraph poles, they also freed slaves that were helping them to safety during the war.
