Discuss Erikson's reasoning for moving beyond Freud's originology (explaining development in terms of origins) in order to formulate an epigenetic approach in which each new stage of development incorporates - in expanded and enriched forums - all the previous stages.
Discuss the strengths and limitations of this approach of the social self in a cultural context. Submit a 4-5 page paper (excluding the cover sheet and reference page) which includes a detailed discussion of the topic, and its relevance to you in the field.
