Problem: In some situations, human resources not only recommends the hiring of a coach, counselor or mentor but is charged with overseeing the progress of the individual once hired. HR must do so without interfering with the process, which can be challenging.
Discuss the role of HR once the coach, counselor, or mentor is hired, including how often the HR professional should contact the individual hired, the type of information/updates HR should require during the intervention period, and the formal process HR should follow to review/assess the success of the coach, counselor, or mentor, including specific questions that should be assessed once the intervention is complete.
