Discuss the ramifications of the rationalization of society; include detail about the model of production in traditional and non-traditional societies. How did the rationalization of society change the nature of work? How did it change the nature of social relationships outside of work? How may it have changed, if at all, the way individuals perceive themselves and their purpose in life?
The Instructor Question meets the following course objectives:
- Apply a sociological perspective to the social world.
- Analyze contemporary social issues using the sociological imagination and use sociological theories and concepts to analyze everyday life.
- Identify and describe bureaucracies and formal organizations.
- Describe deviance and social control from a sociological perspective.
