Assignment task: In Unit 1, you learned the difference between bicameral and unicameral legislative bodies. Currently, Nebraska is the only state that maintains a unicameral legislative body. During the 1930s, when the voters of Nebraska were determining if they should transition to a unicameral legislative body, one of the stated reasons to make the transition was to eliminate the need for "conference committees." In your discussion post:
(1) Discuss the purpose of a conference committee, and
(2) Should all states transition to a unicameral legislative form of government? Why or why not?
