For this discussion I chose "Animals and plants can adapt". With this topic it focuses on global warming will cause mass extinction of species that cannot adapt on short time scales. The myth for global climate change is corals, trees, mammals, and butterflies are adapting well to the changing of the climate. Humans caused climate change and it is occurring to rapidly for species to adapt to it. According to scientist plants and animals are dying off at a rate of 100 to 1000 times faster than average rate of extinction. Because of climate change occurring so rapidly we are heading towards a mass extinction event.
