The expectancy theory describes or holds true that people are motivated to behave in ways that yield desired combinations of probable outcomes (Griffin, Phillips & Gully, 2020). In your organization, are tasks and training needs periodically reviewed and compared to the level of expertise required to perform the job? In your words, is this related to goal setting?
