Task Description
Students are required to analyze and evaluate the changing work environment in terms of the COVID-19 pandemic for a Tourism or Hospitality or Events Organisation.
- Discuss the implications of COVID-19 on the work environment.
- Analyse the workflow processes change, and its concerns.
- Identify the new employability skills that are required in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.
- Reflect on research evidences such as concepts, models, theories learned in the BTHM programme.
Task Length: Each student submission must have a Total word count: 400 words x 5 Forum Discussions = 2000 words.
Submission: Individual Discussions via Discussion Forum & Final Discussion Copies LMS Dropbox
- Upload your discussion on the LMS (see your LMS Assessment ONE {COLOURED ORANGE} and log into the Discussion Board) and submit the link to your lecturer/subject facilitator.
- INDIVIDUAL Submissions must be made online via LMS; Individual Forum Discussion (IFD) each week should have at least 400 words on the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the T & H sector.
Task Requirements:
- Since this is a Discussion Forum, you can also be critically commenting on another posting by a student.
- As this is a Capstone Subject, students will be put through a rigorous and robust discussion process known as the Individual Forum Discussion on LMS is a highly competitive discussion-based selective technique where the focus is on individual initiative, knowledge of the given subject and manner of discussion. How a candidate handles challenges serves as an indication of their leadership qualities.

Assessment Criteria: Individual Discussion
- Demonstrate interpersonal and communicational skills through the Individual Forum Discussion on LMS Discussion Board.
- Analyze regulatory requirements for employment in the tourism and hospitality sector.
- Integrate concepts, models, theories learned in the BTHM programme.
- Respond to other student's discussion forums to solve real-world problems within a tourism and hospitality context.
