Problem
Part I: The company
Research the company's mission, value statement, code of ethics, code of conduct. DO NOT REWRITE these in your paper. Use this information to identify the position they project to the world. Identify their CSR approach and offer at least two examples of company practices to illustrate why you believe they use this approach. How do they report this approach to their stakeholders?
Part II: The issue
Discuss the ethical issue that brought them into the public attention - be their response positive or negative. Discuss the issue and what happened? Who are the stakeholders? Identify three, do a basic stakeholder analysis, and then analyze all three with one stakeholder tool as discussed in the text. What are the stakeholder issues? Do a stakeholder issue salience analysis and matrix.
Part III: Analysis
Discuss what you believe happened in terms of ethical theories. What ethical theory does the company seem to use? How would they justify their actions in terms of your information in Part I? Is there a "disconnect" between the projected position and the actions taken? Why? What does this incident say about the leadership of this company? What advice or recommendation would you make the company? Why?
