Problem
You have just been hired to the law practice of S. Shula Fish, a solo practitioner, as a paralegal. A typical day is unpredictable, frantic at times, and always full of deadlines. You were informed by the outgoing paralegal that at times she engaged in activities that were ethically questionable simply to get the job done and to meet deadlines.

a) Outline the unauthorized practice of law and your responsibility as a non-licensed member of the legal team.
b) Provide examples of activities you can and cannot do as a paralegal.
c) Discuss some possible consequences to you and the practice if you commit UPL.
