Discussion Post: THEORIES OF INQUIRY
• Consider your proposed research topic. How would you formulate your research questions using what you know about quantitative methodologies? Be sure to include both conceptual and operational definitions of variables. Based on your current understanding of quantitative methodologies, what hurdles or barriers might you have to address to move your research forward if using this methodology? When or how would you know that a quantitative methodology would not work for your study?
• Now that you have identified your target population and sample, discuss possible barriers you may encounter during sample selection. What are possible ethical considerations to make regarding your sample? What considerations should you make to ensure you will have access to your proposed sample?
