Problem: Jeong-hoon is a 44-year-old male of Korean descent who reports the following to his physician: pain and tenderness on the anterior surface of his shoulder and the lateral side of his upper arm, pain with shoulder flexion/extension and internal/external rotation, clicking sounds when he raises his arm, and pain that significantly worsens at night and disrupts his sleep. Although Jeong-hoon has lost strength in his shoulder muscles, he has not lost significant range of motion.
