In the world of overcoming obstacles, your text states that rather than to "require faculty buy-in as a pre-requisite to implementation," the principal used "implementation to demonstrate the value of buy-in" (p. 131) in the Data-Driven Success Story of Kingsbury Middle School.
- Discuss a time when you saw this happen in your school or perhaps when you felt it would be a good tool to move something forward.
- What could be detrimental to waiting until you have complete "buy-in" before you lead your staff into areas where they may be a bit wary, such as establishing a data-driven culture?
