Employee Selection
Snell, Morris, and Bohlander (2016) contend that a recent study by SHRM concluded "the cost of hiring someone for a wrong intermediate position is approximately $20,000, and the cost of hiring the wrong person for a senior manager's position is $100,000" (p. 224). These alarming numbers indicate the important need in making the right employee selections.
Discuss one component in the selection process. Describe some of the aligning criteria summarizing any pros and cons with using them. For example: in the interviewing process, what are the types of interviews; What are the pros and cons in using them?
