Chief Complaint: 6-year-old Caucasian female complains of 100.4-degree fever and cough. History of Present Illness/Present Problem: The patient's mother reports her daughter's cough started approximately 1 week ago. The mother states the cough has worsened over the past couple of days and wakes the patient when sleeping. The patient reports a sore throat and headache but was unsure of when it started. The patient denies sneezing, chest pain, shortness of breath (SOB), gastrointestinal pain, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or ear pain. The mother reports giving children's Motrin 10ml PO PRN for fever and children's Mucinex 10ml PO PRN for the cough. The mother and patient deny contact with any ill individuals or experiencing similar symptoms previously. Medications: Motrin (Ibuprofen) 10ml PO PRN
