Problem: Let's say we have a population of moths (moths are always my example!). Human induced climate change is causing their forest homes to become warmer and dryer. You are a biologist and you investigate the variability in the genes responses for resistance to desiccation (drying), water storage and heat tolerance. You find that the population's allele frequency have shifted towards resistance to the environmental change. The moth population is growing when others are becoming rare.
Is this evolution? Why or why not. Is this a case of natural selection or artificial selection due to human actions? Explain your answer.
