Assignment Task: After reading the letters to the editor Persona Activity, how would you describe the two authors and why? The topics may be controversial, but do NOT focus on the topics (we will not debate the topics). Instead, focus on what you imagine the writer to be like (his/her/their persona). Answer the following:
1. Based on what you read (you may read them more than once), what do you imagine the authors to be like and why? Give as thorough of a description as possible; consider physical (age, race, socio-economic class, et cetera) and personality (education level, interests, et cetera) traits.
2. Support your ideas with information from the article. What statements led you to imagine the author in that way?
3. Make sure it is clear which author you are describing (I want you to describe both).
4. Give ample and clear descriptions and reasons why (from their letters) based on how they wrote. In other words, provide detail in your description and support from the articles as to what you imagine the authors to be like and why.
