1) State the chemical equation for photosynthesis, the organelle in which it occurs and the names of the required nutrients (carbon dioxide + water) and the waste products (oxygen + glucose)
2) Trace the pathway of each nutrient needed from the outside of the plant to the parenchyma cell in the leaf of the pea plant, naming and pointing to each part in the pathway (be specific)
a) Discuss how specific parts (eg. xylem, phloem, guard cells) in the root, stem and leaf accomplish the task of delivering nutrients to the parenchyma cell in the leaf
b) Show how glucose produced in the leaf will travel to the peas in the pea pods to be stored at starch
