Discussion Post: Transcultural Perspectives in the Nursing Care of Adults
The class textbook and review the attached PowerPoint presentation. Once done answer the following questions;
o Discuss how culture influences adult development.
o How culture influences the transition of adulthood? For example, explain how a woman from a traditional culture such as those in the Middle East might experience adulthood differently.
o Discuss how gender might influence adult development in a White, middle-class family.
o Discuss how gender and specific religious beliefs and practices might influence an adult's health and/or illness during situational crises or transitions.
