Analysis of a Quality Management System (QMS)
This project will involve an analysis of a Quality Management System (QMS) within an outside organization that you are familiar with. Your report should demonstrate your ability to critically analyze and discuss quality management principles, theories, and practices. Your recommendations should tie together the various parts of your analysis.
The paper will be composed of the following sections, but more topics may be added at your discretion:

*Abstract
*Table of Contents
*List of Tables (as appropriate)
*List of Figures (as appropriate)
Section 1- The Problem and Setting
The company (i.e., organization, group, etc.) setting and introduction
The quality problem(s) confronted (e.g., manufacturing or service sector)
The need for a quality management system assessment
]Organization and structure of the rest of the study
Section 2 - The Current Quality Management System (QMS)
Intro and background to the current QMS
Describe any special programs (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9000, Lean Manufacturing, etc.)
Discuss how and where QMS information are obtained
Discuss how quality was evaluated (e.g., interviews, documents, audit history, etc.)
Discuss any problems or quality issues noted in the past (e.g., audits, evaluations, etc.)
Section 3 - Critical Analysis
Conduct a critical analysis of QMS
Describe both pros and cons of the system
Provide theory rational for shortcomings
Section 4 - Recommendations and Improvements
Discuss what changes might benefit company
Discuss impact of your recommended changes
How would they best go about implementing change
Discuss a realistic time-frame to implement change
