It is about Queensland Health Care payroll project.
This assignment requires you to analyze the information provided on the Queensland Health study and implementation of Payroll System.
You are required to furnish a 2,500-3,000 word report on the requirements as detailed below and to present, in a group of 4 students, a short analysis of your findings.
Provided Material:
A paper provided as the author's version of a work that was submitted/accepted for publication in the following source: Eden, Rebekah &Sedera, Darshana (2014). The largest admitted IT project failure in the Southern Hemisphere: A teaching case.
Requirements: Individual Student Report-
Section 1- Discuss frameworks (COBIT and COSO) and controls which should be used in a project such as the Queensland Health Payroll system.
Section 2- Discuss if any or all of these frameworks and controls were implemented in the Queensland Health Payroll project by
2.1. Health Department of the state of Queensland
2.2. IBM
2.3. Other contractors or parties
Section 3- Discuss the work carried out in this project in the first 2 stages of the System Development Life Cycle as described in text book.
It is expected that the majority of your report will be concentrated on Part 3 of the requirements. (Refer to marks allocation per section)
Group Presentations - You will be allocated a group for your Group Presentation. These selected groups will be allocated by lecturer. You will work with other members and provide a 10 minute presentation in either week 11 or 12 covering your findings and present a conclusion of what went wrong. All members of group must participate for marking.
