Question: I have 80 year old COPD patient who who is three days on the ortho floor post surgery for left hip fractured femure. She has COPD a prior MI 5 years ago has history of atrial flutter and SVTS, 47% LVEJ grade II diastolic dysfunction. She has a small plueral effusion left lung. She is on nasal cannula 2L. She has osteoporosis She can ambulate with assistance by 4 wheel walker. What are my two prioty nursing concepts She has osteoporosis. Had unremarkable 3 days hospital course so far. Her K was low 3.4 which is now in normal range. Her blood pressure hovers around 1400-145 systolic 49-50 diastolic. Need Professional Help?
