Question: A 42-year-old female sustained multiple traumatic injuries, including fractures of the pelvis and femur, following a fall from a second-story balcony. Upon arrival of the transport team, the patient becomes extremely anxious and reports sudden severe shortness of breath with bilateral breath sounds. Assessment reveals no jugular vein distention and normal heart sounds.
