Problem: Can this be paraphrased for better understanding
Though it is easy to see how social media can have a negative effect on emerging adults, there hasn't been adequate research on the topic to back up the study by itself. The results of the study only showed the negative responses to social media, and failed to mention the positive correlations to social media use. The information gathered for the study was based off of voluntary responses to questionnaires, but did not take into consideration using observed responses on the participants or a different form of an un-biased data collection. With using only voluntary responses from participants there is significant room for error. Unknowingly under or over-reporting of responses become an issue with actual time spent on social media, and changing an answer on the questionnaire due to the thought of being judged for the response due to the lack of anonymity. With continued research and additional forms of data gathering, information from this study can be used in conjunction with new studies to help understand the full effects that social media can have on an individual.
