Culminating Project: Early Childhood Growth and Development
Write a 1,400 to 1,750 word paper summarizing early childhood growth and development in a classroom scenario. Complete all five parts below. Each part should be written in approximately 350 words.
Part 1: Classroom Scenario
Identify and describe a classroom scenario in a birth to age 3 educational setting relevant to your current or future work in early childhood education.
Include the following in your description:
· Age of the students in the classroom
· Summary of the characteristics of the population served by the classroom scenario
Part 2: Physical Growth and Motor Development
Apply concepts of physical growth and motor development to your classroom scenario.
Include the following:
· Analysis of physical growth and motor development concepts relevant to the age group in your classroom scenario
· Detailed list with descriptions of at least 10 techniques, strategies, tools, and/or classroom supports that will be used in the classroom scenario, including related physical growth and/or motor development concept(s) for each item.
Part 3: Cognitive, Language, and Literacy Development
Apply concepts of cognitive, language, and literacy development to your classroom scenario.
Include the following:
