Assignment task: Scott Peterson Criminal Investigation
One of the most controversial criminal investigations in U.S. history.
Students will discuss the errors committed by law enforcement in the handling of pertinent and how these mistakes affected the outcome of the case. Students will need to address the prolific turns in the course of the case that ultimately led to Peterson starting out appearing to be a grieving husband to a murder suspect. Examine the reasons why the student believes Peterson was able to deceive law enforcement and delay his eventual arrest. The student should discuss whether they believe Peterson actually committed the crime or not? Why was this case so prolific and monumental? Explain with great detail. Students will also state whether they believe the outcome of the trial was correct? Why or why not?
