Problem:
The Will to Power - things like money and class status seem to fire up conflict in at least some of Hitch's films. To what extent does he see human violence and evil caused or catalyzed by how money or status creates friction between people and stimulates their will to gain power over one another? Are there ways in which characters successfully resist these urges or is Hitchcock implicitly pessimistic on this topic? Consider these questions with regard to the following films and describe whether Hitch's implied ideas on these subjects change over time.
- Rebecca
- Psycho
- Strangers on A Train
