Problem: In situations in which I have established a rapport with a client, and I deem it clinically appropriate, I may use immediacy if a client's nonverbal communication indicates they are uncomfortable. This means that I discuss the changes in the client's nonverbal presentation that I notice and offer an invitation for a dialogue around this.
