Discuss body is both anatomically and physiologically normal

Problem: Unless stated otherwise, all questions are based on these assumptions: 1) your body is both anatomically and physiologically normal -- as normal bodies are described in your A&P text; 2) you are taking this test in the afternoon; and 3) just before sitting down to take the exam, you did about 1/2 hour of strenuous exercise to "settle your nerves", and you are still a little sweaty from that exercise.

In order to

a) bounce your leg (keeping your toes on the floor and raising and lowering your heel) you would alternately contract and relax your tibialis anterior.

b) to scratch your head you would contract your coracobrachialis and anterior deltoid, contract your biceps brachii, brachioradialis, and alternately contract the muscles that flex and extend your index finger.

c) cross your legs so that your fibula rests on the opposite femur, the sartorius is one of the muscles that would contract.

d) smile, you would have to contract both of your zygomaticus muscles.

e) take a deep breath, you could contract your diaphragm muscle, relax your sternocleidomastoid, and contract your external obliques, all at once
