Why should it not be allowed to be bought and sold? Please keep in mind that even if something is currently subject to a market does not entail that it should be subject to a market. Consequently, one may choose those phenomena. Some potential examples: human organs for transplantation, sexual acts, children, waiver for certain crimes, pollution credits, friends, medical treatment, medicine, education.
