Problem:
Most research claims that 87% of those aged 12 to 17 use the Internet regularly. Daily internet usage has stabilized as well at 89% of Americans. However, 98% of Americans under 30 use the internet daily. Another statistic I have seen recently is that the average American teenager spends 6 hours per day on the internet. Again, these numbers are before the pandemic. During the pandemic, the number increased to about 8 hours per day (September 2021). we also know that young people's reading scores and on knowledge-based tests are falling. If the Internet leads us to more information, then shouldn't we be doing better? Describe some of the ways that young people use all forms of communication technology today that may affect social interaction. Use sociology terms and sociology ideas to form an answer.
