Direct conflict of your own personal values or beliefs

Problem: The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) generally endorses different politicians, policies, new legislature, etc.  On a personal level, some of these endorsements might conflict with your own personal beliefs, such as abortion, same-sex marriage, gun control, open borders, etc.   As a current or future member of the NASW, do you believe it is right or just that the organization represent you in their endorsement even when it is in direct conflict of your own personal values or beliefs?   How does this impact you if there is conflict with your religious or moral values and beliefs? How can you reconcile this if needed?
