Problem:
It's noticeable that compared to the rest of the world, the United States has a high public interest in our political culture as well as the public opinion of those involved. In the article "Understanding Political Culture" published by ThoughtCo. author Robert Longley writes about the difference in political culture around the globe. Longley sources a 1963 study of political cultures of 5 different democratic countries and how there are differing participation levels of the people in those countries democratic systems. Robert would use the base of this source to compare and contrast the differing cultures, and he also introduces various theories by scientist why there is such a difference in cultures. The biggest outlier being past political events in a country's history, as Mr. Longley states "historical origins of American political culture can be traced to the American Revolution and the desire for liberty. Some key events and programs that affected Americans' sense of achievement and nationalistic pride include the Industrial Revolution, World Wars I and II, and the events of September 11, 2011." (Longley, 2023, Para 13.) and I agree with his quotes as these events have grown and effected the course of our culture overtime and will continue to affect our values in America.
