Problem
Make five queries you issue to a Web search engine. Narrow an area of each next query taking into account refinements of previous queries, adding or removing terms. Fulfill it by three commercial search engines, including the engine you normally use, and reissue the queries on all three. For each query, write the best five results using a scale from -5 to +5, where +5 means perfect/ideal result and -5 represents a misleading/harmful result (spam). Compute an average score for each engine over all queries and results.
1. Did the engine you normally use provide the highest score?
2. Do the results of this exercise accurately reflect a relative quality of used search engines?
3. Suggest three possible improvements of this experiment.
